School Resources Officers shouldn’t be considered ‘hired guns’ — NASRO to The Daily Item


“They’re not a hired gun. The goal of an SRO is to bridge the gap between law enforcement and students, to build relationships. What happens from that is they gain intelligence and can stop a bad situation before shots are ever fired.” That’s part of what NASRO executive director Mo Canady told the Sunbury, Pennsylvania Daily Item for a story about increased demand for school resource officers.
