School resource officers not there to arrest kids — NASRO VP to Indy Star


“A lot of people think that our purpose is that we come into this building and our goal is to arrest kids. And that couldn’t be further from the truth.”

That’s part of what Carmel Police Department (Indiana) school resource officer and NASRO first vice president D.J. Schoeff told the Indianapolis Star for a story that explains the benefits of carefully selected, specially trained SROs.
