School policing fails when not done right — NASRO to USC


“I am very pro-law-enforcement-in-schools, if it’s done the right way,” NASRO executive director Mo Canady said during a panel discussion hosted last month by USC: Safe Communities Institute – SCI.
 
“If we’re putting police in schools just to stop school shootings, we’re gonna fail in that,” Mo said. “If we’re putting police in schools just to solve a gang problem, we’re gonna fail.”
